Privacy Policy

Auralis is a video player for Apple TV and iPhone. It plays streams from providers you add yourself. We built it to keep your data on your device.

The short version

• Auralis has no accounts, no analytics and no ads.
• Your playlists, provider logins, favourites, watch history and settings are stored only on your device.
• We do not run servers that receive your data, and we do not sell or share it.

What stays on your device

• Playlists and provider logins. The server address, username and password you enter for your provider are saved on your device and sent only to that provider to load your channels and videos.
• Your library. Favourites, watch progress, recently watched, channel guide data and settings.
• Downloads and recordings. Videos you download are saved on your device. Recordings are saved on a recording server you set up on your own network.

Deleting the app removes all of this from your device.

Services Auralis connects to

To show artwork, details and subtitles, Auralis sends requests to these services. The requests contain the title being looked up, not your name, provider login or watch history.

• Your IPTV provider, to load channels, the TV guide and video streams. Their own privacy policy applies to that service.
• The Movie Database (TMDB), for posters, descriptions, genres and ratings. TMDB privacy policy
• OpenSubtitles, when you search for subtitles. OpenSubtitles privacy policy
• Radio Browser, for the internet radio directory. radio-browser.info

Like any internet request, these services can see your device's IP address.

Purchases

Auralis Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. Restoring a purchase uses your Apple ID through Apple.

Diagnostics

Debug logging is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, logs stay on your device. Viewing them from another device uses a temporary link on your home network only; nothing is uploaded to us.

Children

Auralis is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Content

Auralis does not provide any channels, films or series. You are responsible for the content and providers you add.
